Who We Are
The Giving Jar is a take on the "Giving Circle": Each donor, guest, sponsor, and supporter is a member. We create unique, fun, and memorable experiences with the goal of helping as many people as possible.
- To date: 25,000 raised for our friends at The Saratoga Center for the Family
The Giving Jar was Inspired by/created to honor the memory of Jaclynn Ann "Margie" Russo to continue to spread the kindness that she did while she was here.
About Jackie / Margie
She was an incredible person, always putting others first, even during her illness. Just months before her passing, she donated 200 stuffed animals to the McMahon Child Advocacy Center in Syracuse. Her kindness touched countless lives, evident by the line for her services that stretched around the block. In lieu of flowers, she requested charitable donations for her funeral.
You could find her giving a lemonade to a homeless person on a hot day. You would find a $10 bill that she slid in your pocket when she gave you a hug earlier. That's just who she was, by nature. The world could use a lot more Jackie's! She would be so happy to see that her kindness is still inspiring others.
We would be very grateful if you "slipped" a $10 bill in the Giving Jar on your way out. Every little bit counts.
